Principles of aerospace propulsion systems and their classification. Basic principles of boundary layer mechanics and heat transfer. Cycle analysis: Thermodynamics of air breathing engines. Aero-thermodynamics of non-rotating propulsion components: inlets, combustors and nozzles Turbo-machinery : Axial compressors and turbines; centrifugal pumps and compressors.
